Ticker: $BITA Management Fee: 0.65% (65 basis points), which is higher than IBIT's fee but lower than some competitors Custodian: Coinbase will serve as the institutional custodian How BITA Works: a "Covered Call" strategy BITA is an actively managed fund that seeks to generate income from its bitcoin exposure by selling call options. It will hold a mix of assets: Physical Bitcoin: Spot holdings will be custodied with partners like Coinbase IBIT Shares: Shares of BlackRock's own successful iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) will also be held Cash: Cash from premiums and related holdings will provide liquidity for options trading Its actively managed strategy will involve selling call options on its bitcoin and IBIT holdings. In return for potentially capping upside, BITA collects premiums that it distributes to investors as regular income. BITA therefore offers a way to generate passive yield from a bitcoin position.
